RELIGIONS IN UGANDA
Uganda is laying on the religious foundation, prominently Christianity carrying 85.2% of the total population and the remaining percentage goes to the Muslim which is minority and other tradition beliefs. Freedom of religion is guaranteed by Ugandan constitution but they have to be register with the government but some religions that consider cults are restricted, Uganda as an Independent County is under its motor: FOR GOD AND MY COUNTY”.
The Northern and the West Nile regions are dominated by the Roman Catholics, Iganga district in the east of the country has the highest percentage of the Muslims and other regions are just mixed up.
The examples of religions in Uganda includes, Roman Catholics , Church of Uganda(Anglican),Pentecostals, Seventh Day Adventists, Muslems, Baha’i,. One of the seven Baha’i houses of worship in the world is located in the outskirts of Kampala the capital city of Uganda.
