A week of adventure and discovery. Visit the Masai Mara to witness the splendor of African wildlife. As this is also the home of the Maasai people, our tour of the area would be incomplete without a visit to one of the Maasai villages to interact with the people and learn about their culture. Continue on to the Great Rift Valley and discover beautiful scenery, flora and fauna. Tour the bird rich lakes against a backdrop of stunning volcanic mountains and escarpments. Explore the hot springs, cliffs and rock towers of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 1: Masai Mara
From Nairobi, we drive via the Maasai town of Narok arriving at Masai Mara for lunch and an afternoon game drive. We’ll camp overnight on the eastern edge of the Mara (Lunch and dinner).
Day 2: Masai Mara
We spend all day on game drives in the Mara watching elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile etc. Overnight at the camp again (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 3: Maji Moto
Leave after breakfast for a two-hour drive to Maji moto, a remote Maasai village at the slopes of the Loita hills. ‘Maji Moto’ is a Swahili word that means ‘hot water’ and the place derives this name from the nearby hot springs. The Maasai live as they have done for centuries in a traditional and sophisticated culture. After lunch we visit a Maasai homestead (“boma”) for insights into their fascinating culture and way of life – dinner around a campfire, starlit skies and fall asleep to the sounds of the African night (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 4: Lake Naivasha
There is a 2-3 hour walking safari along a small river course and through the savanna for wildlife viewing with the Maasai as guides and interpreters of their lands. You can take a refreshing dip in the hot spring water and walk amongst giraffe, impala, zebra and wildebeest. We’ll then drive up to Lake Naivasha and camp overnight by the lakeside (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 5: Hell’s Gate
Leave the camp for a morning walking safari in Hell’s Gate National park. Here we walk amongst herds of zebra, gazelle and giraffe with a dramatic volcanic backdrop of soaring lava cliffs, steaming volcanic vents and hot springs. Transfer back to our camp for lunch. Optional afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a vast freshwater lake, famed for its bird life particularly fish eagles, love-birds and pelicans. There are also many hippos. Overnight at the camp (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 6: Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast for a one hour drive to Lake Nakuru, a soda lake famous for pink flamingos. This is the perfect place to watch the rhino but there are several other animals including buffalo, giraffe, impala, lion etc. Overnight at Wildlife Clubs of Kenya Guesthouse or camp overnight inside the park (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 7: Nairobi
Another morning game drive. Return to Nairobi (Breakfast and lunch).
